In the beginning, I didn’t track food, I just tried my best to stick to the diet doing the best I could and it worked out fine, food caused a lot of stress but it was probably also related to the extreme calorie deficit I was experiencing.
The only “tracking” I used to do was with cheat meals and only by taking a photo of it so I could remember it every time I opened my gallery
It was a conscious choice to not track everything, I didn’t want it to be too stressful, and track every single little thing at the stage I was wouldn’t bring much to the table.
Now things are different, I track almost everything with MyFitnessPal so I know the intake of every macro, I suggest doing this only after being on good terms with the diet since it could quickly turn out to be a boomerang and hit us with a useless load of stress.
